SFC Jesse Rankin entered the United States Army July 7, 1992 at Fort Knox, KY where he completed training to be a 19K Abrams tank crewman. Upon graduation from his training his first duty assignment was in Vilseck Germany from 1992-1997 where he held various positions on tank crews. He was then transferred to Fort Riley KS 1997-2000. While at Fort Riley KS he was selected due to his superior knowledge and skills to attend and graduate from the prestigious Abrams Master Gunner School for the M1A2 tank. In addition, while at Fort Riley, KS he held several positions including Tank Command, Platoon Sergeant and Master Gunner. He was then selected by the Army to become a Drill Sergeant at Fort Jackson, SC from 2000-2003. After completion of his duties as a Drill Sergeant he was transferred to Fort Carson, CO from 2003-2010, where he held various positions to include Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, Active Component/Reserve Component Advisor and Master Gunner. Upon leaving Fort Carson, CO he was transferred to Fort Benning, GA from 2010 to 2012. While at Fort Benning, GA he was assigned to the Maneuver Center of Excellence, US Army Armor Doctrine where he developed

requirements for the Weapons and Gun Branch. In 2012, after 20 years of honorable active-duty service Jesse retired from the Army. Career deployments include Intrinsic Action, Kuwait, Operation Able Sentry in the former republic of Yugoslavia Macedonian, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, Iraqi. Awards include Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendation Medals and Army Achievement Awards. After his military retirement, Jesse worked in government contracting and currently is the Director of Municipal Operations for Bonduel.
