About Us
Shawano's Hometown Heroes was founded by Heather Kroll and nine participants of the Leadership Shawano County class. Our goal is to honor local veterans for their service and sacrifice. We invite you to nominate past and present members of the Armed Forces to be honored with a Hometown Heroes Banner. Each banner will display the hero's name, branch of service and military photo. Banners will be displayed on Main Street in Shawano, starting at Elizabeth Street intersection and heading South. The banners will be displayed from Memorial Day to Veterans Day.
