Why is Shawano’s Hometown Heroes program limited to individuals living or have lived in the 54166 zip code?
At this time, the program is limited to the 54166 zip code due to a finite number of available light poles and the continued growth of the program. This limitation also allows neighboring communities the opportunity to honor their own local heroes. We have met with a few surrounding zip codes and shared our planning notes and resources with them should they wish to implement a similar program in their communities. Please send us an email if your area is interested!
